Paddington House is a terrace house nestled in the heart of Paddington, Sydney. The client requested a total renovation of the property whilst maintaining the facade due to heritage listing laws.

The renovation was to include the rework of the basement, the first floor’s kitchen and living room, the second floor’s bathrooms and bedrooms and an extension of the attic to provide a secondary bedroom space for the client. The client’s vision was to create a modern family home that seamlessly integrates raw materials to convey an earthy authenticity while maintaining a clean and homey aesthetic.

Embracing a contemporary design ethos, the residence features elements such as exposed brick walls, natural stone surfaces, and reclaimed wood finishes. These raw materials are thoughtfully juxtaposed with sleek lines and minimalist furnishings to achieve a perfect balance between industrial edge and familial warmth.
